Trial Session with Extended Program Hours:  Thanks to everyone who attended the recent council meeting.  Based on survey results, there appears to be a need for extended Community Connection hours.  Community Connections will run a trial session in which hours of operation will be extended until 5:30 pm.  The new hours will begin January 5th and continue through the 7 week Winter Session.  At that point attendance will be evaluated to determine whether the extended hours will become permanent.  There will be an additional $2.00 daily fee for families choosing to have their child stay beyond 5:00 pm.  A program flyer will be coming home within the next couple of weeks with further details.   
Holiday Vacation:  Students have a half day on December 23rd leading into their Holiday Vacation.  Community Connections will not be providing afterschool care on this day.  Please plan now for alternative afterschool options.  Also, as a reminder, Community Connections will not be open during the Holiday Vacation.   
Program Assistant Needed:  Kelley Moran, our current Program Assistant, will be leaving Community Connections in December.  We are looking for a new program assistant beginning in January after the Holiday Break.  The position could be filled by either one person or it could be a shared position.  The Program Assistant works from 3:00-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.  If interested, please contact Karen Allen for details.
Outdoor Attire:  The snow has arrived! Please make sure your child is prepared for outdoor weather.  Community Connections will spend time outside daily unless there is inclement weather.  Please make sure your child comes with a winter coat, hat, mittens, boots, and snow pants so that they can participate in outdoor activities.
